What is the best travel map and trip planning out there. I need one where I can plan a long trip using several way points.

Used RVTripWizard last year, Furkot was good enough that I let my subscription lapse, but with the new feature just announced of putting the campsite reviews in-map (no need to go to another site) I may just renew, if it saves me even a half hour in trip planning it's worth the small fee.

You may need to look at one of the programs like Delorme Street Atlas or MS Streets and Trips. Or even Garmin Basecamp. Personally I use Street Atlas and Basecamp with small segments in Google maps to check roads.

Wow recent upgrades in the last few days have added more and more information about each campground - it keeps getting better

I've added dozens of stops on some of my wilder maps. It gets a bit overwhelming to manage one map with so many stops. It's easier to create multiple maps for segments if you're micromanaging a long trip.

You can also share maps, posting a link here for example for others to use, or critique.

The service Furkot.com has been growing on me. It works fine just getting started, and when you figure out its quirks, it gets more powerful.

It works well on every device I've tested, from my main computer with a 43" 4K monitor to tablets and an old cell phone that lives in the truck.

For a (comparatively long distance) travel map, I rather like AAA's regional maps (i.e. Northeast states and provinces, or the other quadrants). If you have the space, The Imus Geographics Essential Geography of the United States of America map is superb and the laminated version can be drawn on with dry-erase markers (and erased/cleaned afterwards) if needed. I sometimes wish I had a big blank wall in my motorhome waiting for it.
