Mattress

We bought an Outback 323BH not too long ago. Next month we will be living in it for the next 18 months. Long story short, we needed new mattresses, so we set out to find something we would like and something for the kid's crappy bunk mattresses. Found a website, mattress insider.com They have any size mattress you can imagine. We ordered the 8" Luxury Cool-MAX® Gel Foam RV Mattress II short queen for us, and a couple of custom mattresses for the odd size bunks and voila…they are perfect. Turn around was fast, I will let everyone know how they sleep next month, but a great value I would say.

Cost???? We don't like our mattress in the new TT. Have a friend that works at a furniture / mattress, foam manufacturer. Made and cut us one for $30.00. It's great. Sleeps waaaaaaay better than a Tempure Pedic. Had one of those, biggest waste of money ever.

We replaced all three mattresses for $1000. Ours was something like $450 ($100 off on the web site and another 5% with some online code! also from their web site), and each of the kids was a little under $300 each. The great thing is that they are custom sizes, so they fit perfect each bunk, instead of the gym mat looking mattresses. IIRC, the queen can be flipped for firmer or softer, both sides are memory foam, just different densities, and it keeps you cool instead of getting hot like some other foam types.
