Max speed towing.

Sept. 2016 issue of Trailer Life Magazine has a big article on Maxxis ST Tires (page 39). For ALL of their various size tires they post a maximum speed of 65 mile per hour. I get passed all the time by RV'ers going at least 70 MPH.....
Slow down and enjoy the trip....

I was at a dealer having some repair done when a guy with a monster 3 axle TH was lamenting that his diesel truck ran hot in the mountains. I asked him how fast he towed and he said around 80...
I just said "huh".

All 225/75r15:
Goodyear Marathon 75 MPH.
PowerKing TOWMAX STR II 75 MPH.
Trailer King ST RADIAL 75 MPH.
Carlisle Radial Trail HD 81 MPH.
Carlisle Sport Trail LH 87 MPH.
Hartland ST Radial 87 MPH.

LT tires can also be used at their rated capacity on trailers. So, depending on the axle weight, one could also go with something like the Pirelli Scorpion ATR and get a 118 MPH rating!

I am sure many of those passing you have no idea what a tire speed rating is , never mind what their own tires are rated for .

But Speed limit is 70, 75 even 80 on some Interstates.

Don't want to get left behind

Actually my 5th wheel tires are speed rated for 75 mph but I still only tow at 62-65 mph because that is the speed I like to tow at.
Everybody else can just go around. Doesn't affect or bother me
Is it time for your medication or mine?
