Memory foam and summer heat.

We have used memory foam toppers for years and have not had one break down. Finally bought a Temper pedic mattress. I love the fact I can raise the mattress front and bottom as well as vibrate. However; not sure it was worth the cost. We sleep just as well on the memory foam toppers. You should be fine if you buy quality.

I put a memory foam mattress in our Class A (and we loved it,) but I never left the Class A down south over the hot summer. Sounds like there shouldn't be a problem.

I leave my 4" gel memory foam topper in the trailer year round with temps up to 110F and not had any problems with it. When in use the camper temp is down to around 70F.

Memory foam conforms to your body when sleeping on it but should go back to level.

I liked the 4" gel memory foam topper in the camper so much I bought one for the seasonal site and my home bed.

I use a 4" gel Novafoam mattress topper. The gel helps keep it cool to sleep on. Regular memory foam is to hot for me.

I have left my memory foam topper in the trailer all summer (95 degrees to 105 degrees) for several years and noticed no degradation. Now, my latex pillows are a different story; they don't fare so well.

We have one in both our TT and our stick home. Neither has ever broken down or caused us to be warm or uncomfortable in any way.
To the contrary, our TT mattress would be useless without it.

Not all memory foams are created equal. If you get one do not go on the cheap. Get a top quality for comfort and longevity. We have had ours in all of our trailers over the past 20 years with never a problem.

John, I have had one for the past 4 years and have had no problems. Bought 2 for the house and liked them so much, got one for coach. Memory foam is a lot easier to deal with if to be moved.
They are little hot for me, so we keep a quilt between mattress and sheets. I sleep a lot longer and better also. No bouncing when the other person moving or getting up. Best investment I have done on the coach.

I know of one person that said just his body heat caused a dip in his memory foam mattress. I'm guessing that's not a normal occurrence.

That is not normal, unless it's a very cheap mattress. They do conform to your body but bounce back. We have one at home that's 15 years old and hasn't degraded at all. Granted, our room does not get to 100 degrees for extended periods of time, but has hit the 90s when the house has been closed up while we've been away. The newer mattresses are much more advanced in their technology. There are forums are available for the various brands that list pros and cons that you can garner info from.
