Michelin M/S-2 LT's
I bought a set of Michelin M/S-2 LTs for my 2010 2500 Chevy with 6.0 engine and 3.73 rear end about 1 1/2 years ago. Rotated, twice 1st at 12k and just recently at 22k on the tires. If I remember correctly they came with about 15/32 tread. After 22k miles they are down to 9/32. I do not run my tow tires below 5/32. So after 22k miles they are already 60% worn out. I was hoping to get better mileage out of these tires. I tow with 65psi in front and 80psi in rear. When not towing I run 55 in front and 65 in rear.
I have had lots of Michelin tires on cars with very good results. This is my 1st set of Michelin tow tires. I was expecting better wear than this. I have noticed in the past with my tires that they wear slower as the tread wears down, probably due to less squirm.
If they keep wearing like this I will only get about 40k out of them. If I do have to buy a new set of tires at 40k I may go back to Bridgestone.
Any suggestions/comments?
