We did go today. Crowds seemed about the same as other years. Except they reduced the ticket booths and made for a long line to get in. Didn't bother us so much, but a lot of people complained about that.
Was not really impressed with the diesel pushers represented at the show. There was one Newmar "I" liked. The wife didn't. I suppose it's a good thing we have different preferences :B
I don't remember the make (maybe American Coach) but, it was a $600,000 dollar rig. They should have left it in the shop for repairs. There was so many things that stood out needing repair. Especially the shower with a shower pan that didn't match the walls and looked extremely cheap with obvious fresh caulk around the bottom it looked like a two year old did it. It had a 1/2" gap around the shower pan were the walls should have butt up to it. Definitely some type of problem there as it was covered in dirt on the inside.
Another MH had a sign on the bathroom door telling you not to open it. I can only guess there was a problem.
Just shocked they put these high priced units out for the public to see in that kind of shape. It's not like they didn't have a whole year or months, weeks, whatever to get them ready. Not like it's their busy season.
There were some neat small light weight retro travel trailer Vicars was showing. Really cute. I think the manufactures were Riverside. I could see those selling like hot cakes for the price.
General RV has relocated from off grand River and Beck to the otherside of I96 one exit west (Wixom rd exit) from the old location. Huge. You can't miss it going down the freeway.
I said to my wife today while there. Remember when we looked at pop-ups, then went to travel trailers 2, then fivers 4, then our MH. We find we get through the show much faster now.
Maybe, just maybe one more for us.
