She may have refused medical attention at the scene. I was in an accident where all my air bags deployed - shattered the windshield and cut my hands and arm (not big, gaping wounds - just little shards of glass). All I wanted was some band-aids but they sent an ambulance and I had to sign a bunch of forms saying that I was refusing medical attention and that if I die later it's not their problem. I would hope that the cops wouldn't have dumped her at a motel if she appeared injured or in need of medical attention. The accident she was in may have been caused by a medical issue that wasn't obvious at the time but ultimately led to her death.

Sad ending either way. RIP Verizon alumnus.
