Found an article with current data and information on
that RV 1st cousin the "Mobile Home". Interesting that
it was published on the BBC.

We had a regular senior mobile home park that had 4 RV spaces (best kept secret) that we stayed at regularly and just loved it. Everyone in the park catered to us just to talk to a new face and listen to some of the experiences we had RVing the country.
No longer stay there because my son has a driveway long enough for us to squat a couple weeks at a time ๐Ÿ™‚

Mobile home parks are like RV parks, they can be upscale, or they can be scary.

Generally they tend to be completely separate because even though both have (or in the case of mobile homes, had) wheels, one is a residence, one is a vehicle.

I have on several occasions sought out mobile home parks to stay for a week or two in my motor home. They are usually clean, well kept, quiet and have every amenity any high price resort will have with out the snobbishness most possess.

There are a few mobile home parks that will not allow RV's in, they consider them to be too Gypsy.

As full-timers, we've often stayed in Mobile Home Parks to be closest to the jobsite. All are low-income or they wouldn't allow transient RV's in them.

But, that doesn't mean they don't have rules about keeping the area mowed clean or maintained. Low income means, elderly, sometimes sickly or disabled, sometimes under achievers. But we've always felt safe and find we can save $$'s at the same time.

I find it fascinating to see how other countries view us. Watching BBCAmerica, the show "BroadChurch" has a row of 'caravans' right on the Beach. To me they look more like Park Models. Now wouldn't we all want to live on the English Coast.
