Mother's day camping.

Our bus lives at a local campground in a seasonal site. It just seems to make sense.
And Friday after work, we headed out there. Me, in my old wrangler, with our 3 dogs, her an hours or so later in her newer jeep liberty with our 16yo and food.

And we "camped". we BBQ'd, we walked the dogs, we watched some satellite TV and we checked our favorite forums.

Saterday it was declared we had to go "Home" and work. And so we did. I did the pool maintenance, mowed the lawn, finished the job that never ends, ie: staining the decks.

And we went back to the campground, ate, watched the race, and slept.

Sunday morning, I made some killer mothers day breakfast. Took the DW shopping. BBq'd. walked the dogs.

We eventually went home, obnly because the 16yo did not bring his homework with. We had talked about spending another night and rocking the boy to school in the AM.

It is SOOOO nice to have DW on the same page as me. There was a time not long ago when her line was "I love to travel and camp, but no way no how will I ever live in that thing."
Everything we own has been for sale for some time now. Assuming someone somewhere will help us out in the "real estate owned / mortgages owed" department, we will be full timing.

Running backwards....
The 68 is sold, 2 weeks ago.
everything is for sale, the blue beast was the first that moved.
The "Denver is a state of mind" blog is/was a bit of a dream... and mostly chronicled a vacation or two. Wife's current is besidethemountain.com where she has put many of her thoughts down.
Yes, we are one the same page.
Limited by our past choices. Life's been good to us, and as a result, we have lots of stuff, headlined by 2 pieces of real estate we cannot seem to give away.

My own reality is that this summer is it. By October at the latest we move on.

What are you going to do with your 68 - use it as a toad?

A weekend at a campsite especially when you can and do "go home" during that time period is not full timing. Pardon me noticing but you may be thinking the wife is all onboard for the fulltiming, however what I read into this note was she liked what you are doing now but isn't saying, "ok, lets go fulltime". There is a world of difference between a seasonal campsite close to home and "out on the road". I think you and the dear wife need to spend a lot more time talking about it. If it works out...take the rig off the seasonal site and hit the road for most of the summer...that will tell you if fulltime is something more in line with what your family will endure. Your 16 year old may have a lot to say about leaving the friends and becoming a nomad. So a nice long conversation is in order.

After reading on your blog site I see a family pretty invested in where they are, the projects. I know we all change and I fully agree with the "quiet mind" decisions.

However I finally got it the "Denver" thing is the past since the last post I saw there was 2009, sorry for not noticing. So, you now live elsewhere again after that move!?

Good luck. No matter what you do...you'll find a way to enjoy life!
