Moving from a Reese DC to Equal-I-zer 4 pt.
Has anyone gone from towing with a Reese DC to an Equal-I-zer 4 point hitch? Did you regret the decision? Anything you miss about the Reese? Anything you don't like about the Equal-I-zer?

- Never used the Reese, but I can tell you that there was nothing I didn't like about the Equal-I-zer.
- I went from the equalizer to the DC and would never go back. However, there are some newer designs out there that look very good, like the Blue Ox and similar systems with some kind of spring built in.

If you are having a control issue, switching from the EQ to the DC will not correct it. Or visa versa. We may be able to help optimize what you have to find the problem. Is there a problem and what is it?
That said, which Reese WD hitch do you have to go with the DC? The round bar hitch or the trunnion bar? There are certain limitations with the round bar system pending your setup being able to adjust the WD optimally. This generally occurs when the loaded TW gets close to the WD bar rating. This can be a problem with the Reese round bar hitch when used with the DC. The amount of head tilt is very limited. However knowing the problem, there are some things that can be done to help it.

John - After adding the HP Dual Cam several years ago I cannot imagine anything working better or needing to work better.
- I guess I will get the Reese DC when getting my new truck/trailer. I had put that I was considering letting the hitch go with the trailer, but that got modded out.
- I`ve only had the DC. In looking at both hitches I feel the DC can do a far better job at keeping sway from starting an/or continuing!

Only downside to the EQ is that they can be noisy. They moan and groan at times.- The Reese Dual Cam is a well proven hitch and I would consider a step down to the 4-point.
- Performance is very close to the same, though the way they achieve it is somewhat different.
Installation, is the big difference. The DC is fussier. And it will have less ground clearance. That was the deal breaker for me. I want all the ground clearance I can get.
