My Security Precaution and Peace of Mind

After reading about the Emergency bag, I like GOOD (Get Out Of Dodge) bag idea but the RV is becoming my home. I realize the important of keeping your records together but off site has always been my option. I guess I thankful for my daughters having big houses.
Another way I try to protect what I have is always be suspicious. That is I always look around at the surrounding ( vehicle, people) and write a license number down or take pictures. It may a picture of a future witness or the vehicle that is used in the crime. I try to leave the impression I'm watching and have information that a security camera will not.
I do like the idea of some kind or sensor with remote control & siren, either motion or switch operated, to monitor the door when in strange parking lots.
We all know that the material things can be replaced but it is peace of mind we are trying to protect.
I'm a firm believer if the door is forced open, there maybe blood on the Welcome Mat.

In your defense, ocbms, just because youโ€™re paranoid doesnโ€™t mean everybody isnโ€™t out to get you. Being alert to your surroundings and the types of people around you is nothing but good common sense. Then you can decide if the risk of staying outweighs the reward.

But photographing cars and people on the off chance they may be a threat is a bit over the top. And someone photographing and watching me is going to make me suspicious of their motives and warrant follow-up.

Well said.

Has anyone close to you expressed concern that your beliefs are... a bit extreme? I know if my father lived in an RV with motion sensors, and photographed any one near him-I would think he'd been sniffing too much propane.

Well said. I am surprised you have not already been approached to find out what and why you are doing that. I would not like it, even with your supposed good intentions. And I am an easy person to get along with.

Being formally from Southern Illinois namely BONNIE ILLINOIS I didn't know things where getting that bad down home... I had to leave home to get married as everyone there was kin to each other. Went all the way to Arkansas before I found someone I wasn't kin too. Then I later found out my wife's family from TEXAS/OKLA lived in the Mount Vernon/Fairfield Illinois area during the OIL FIELD days...

When I was growing up we had to worry about the Shelton Gang running whiskey.. My dad had great gang related stories from growing up in the Horse Creek Country in NorthEast Jefferson County and Wayne Counties. The hanging rocks and isolated creeks there was prime hiding out places for the road gangs I guess... A few stories about the Jesse James gang hiding out there.

Most of the time was pretty peaceful around those corn fields.

4-10 bird shot is about all ones needs to have around. Hopefully the noise it makes will scare the critters off. Usualy have an old axe handle and some wasp spray by the trailer door...

ocbms, I gather you are referencing another thread/post? Your post sounds extraordinarily paranoid.
