Need help! Directions that allow an RV to Jones Beach

Heading up 95 North to NY Long Island to be exact. Coming from Philly. How do I get to Long Island avoiding all the Parkways that exclude RVs and commercial Vehicles? I am driving a Truck Camper.
  • You can take the 440 OuterBridge Crossing to the Staten Island Express Way. Then take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway to the Long Island Express Way. Then there are other routes to go south to Jones. be Careful Trailers Trucks aren't allowed on the Parkways. Long Island Parkways have notoriously LOW Bridges and your TC might get sheared off depending on the height. Be careful on your route South. If you have a low TC like cap height I would take a chance and run the parkway from the expressway.

    Happy Trails
  • The LIE (Long Island Expressway) is RV friendly. Take to Beth Page Battlerow CG (Nassau Cty) and set your camper down on your site. ( Don't take it to Jones Beach!)

How many axles does your TC have and do you have truck plates? If more than one and yes to plate question try this map to plot your trip from the Jersey border to Nassau County:
