- Vacationer04ExplorerAnybody within 300 miles of St. Louis got a '98 or older Tracker or Sidekick for sale? My '96 Tracker is getting too much cancer in the rear quarters and it's time to replace it. Would even consider one with engine / tranny problems or light body damage as mine is great mechanically. Must be 4wd and automatic. Prefer 4dr or 2dr with hardtop. Interior not real important. Need to stay with something light as my MH can't pull much more and I can re-use my baseplate.
Thanks!

Arnold,MO - Queens_CarriageExplorerWent looking today. Kia nothing that will flat tow with a automatic. Jeep Cherokee will flat tow with a automatic. The local dealer didn't have any in stock, he will call when they arrive. So will go looking again to see anything that will fit my needs.
- armadillo_17ExplorerI am using a 2012 Patriot (manual) for better than a year now. I have towed 10,000+. Driven it 23,000...Still like it well. The manual has a hill-holder device that holds you, as you take your foot off the brake to the gas. The 5 speed is fun to drive.
- Queens_CarriageExplorerWell that won't work. I'm tired of driving a stick, but still want a 4x4. I'll just have to look at the Suzuki. But I would like a 6 banger.

All ride "better" than a standard short wheel base Wrangler. IMO, my Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited rides just fine. I have put in many 8-10 hour days at freeway speeds
Jeep is coming out with the Cherokee in the 3rd qtr of this year to replace the Liberty. Lots of info on Jeep.com.

The All-New Cherokee features leading capability with three innovative 4x4 systems. Get Best-in-Class capability+ with Cherokee Trailhawk® and its standard Trail Rated® Jeep® Active Drive Lock 4x4 system with 4-Low and rear locker. The Jeep® Active Drive II 4x4 system with low-range is great for rock crawling and has a neutral mode for flat towing behind an RV. The single speed Jeep® Active Drive I 4x4 system with brake traction control is ideal for those who want something easy-to-use with all-weather capability. The industry-first rear axle disconnect+ feature only engages 4x4 when necessary for greatly improved fuel efficiency+. - mowermechExplorerJeep Liberty

- JanssExplorer III recently sold my 99 Tracker and bought a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4WD (successor to the Tracker). Love it! I know Suzuki stopped selling cars in the U.S. but I decided to go for it anyway. The first several years of the Grand Vitara was similar to the Tracker. But since about 2006 or '07, they changed the body style and made it bigger.
