Need reccomendations for mattress topper

Wow - thanks everyone for the recommendations and thoughts! I thought I'd seen every topper on Amazon till I clicked on the provided links...

We're going out shopping today so we'll check out a few at the stores. Still not sure about memory foam - need to be able to crawl over the bed and not sure how that sinking feeling will be.

Thanks Ichabod for the idea of the "bed bridge" - that looks like it would be perfect under a topper.

As far as replacing the cushions with a whole new mattress... That's an idea, but it probably would make it difficult to take the bed apart - which I have to do once in a while to get at some of the utilities.

Will let you know how things work out. :)

I'd have to disagree as we bought a 3" Gel Memory Foam Topper from Costco several years ago and it converted the trailer's el cheapo rock hard mattress into a luxurious soft pillow top.



After extending the length of the bed platform I simply pulled the mattress forward and used the topper's excess length to fill the gap between the mattress and headboard. In your application it could easily be cut to size with a knife.

We like it so much we bought a second for use in the house. :B

We did this also. Sleep like a log since we did this...

We love our memory foam topper! We wouldn't have a bed without one. We use a 3" with cool gel technology, but in winter put a thin crate foam over it so that it WILL absorb body heat. We stay nice and toasty even when it's only 50 inside the rv. Just take the egg crate one off for summer.

I've been perusing Amazon and feel like I'm not getting anywhere. I figure there must be others here who have dealt with dinette cushions...

We have purchased 2 "Cloud 9" mattress toppers from Amazon. One for home and one for our TT mattress. 3" and what a difference! Check out all the positive reviews on Amazon!

You keep it as a bed

Remove and store the cushions

Replace with the foam mattress of your choice, you can cut to fit , If needed

At some point in the future, when ready to trade it in, or give up RV life, you will have like new dinette cushions to put back in the Class B

If it's a full time bed, ditch the cushions and get a standalone memory foam mattress. We got an 8" one for about $200 on Amazon for our fifth wheel and it's extremely comfortable.

We have this one, inexpensive, came in the size we needed, and it's breathable which most of the ones I looked at were not. They come in other thicknesses as well and even have ones that are ventilated with gel.

Have this in ours. It's great.

Mattress Topper

Since you leave it set up as a bed, can you find something one-piece to replace the cushions? Maybe a memory foam one you can cut to fit?
