You'll get many opinions but consider that extended warranties are an expensive poor gamble. I say "gamble" because you might come out ahead over the long life of the unit if you have lot's of trouble, expensive repairs, it's a warranty that really pays, etc. But why buy something that you need to have a lot of problems to collect. In the long run of averages you will come out ahead by just keeping that money, saving some more and pay cash for repairs. For any product. The cost of the warranty must exceed pay out for the companies to make money.
