Newark, Delaware CG's

While my daughter was going to the University of Delaware, we used to stay at lums pond state campground in Bear Delaware. No water or sewer, and a few electrical sites.

This Yogi Bear Jelly stone campground in Pennsylvania is about 30 miles to the north-west of Newark Delaware.

Roamer's Retreat, Rt 30 in Kinzer/Gap, PA. Nice campground, 30/35 miles from Newark.

My choice would be Elk Neck State Park in Northeast, Maryland.
North East Loop is full hookups.
Easy drive to Newark

We have also used Lums Pond State Park when visiting family in the area. They have three water/electric/sewer sites that are not listed in the reservation system as they are often used for hosts. However, if there are no hosts occupying them, those sites are available to visitors. Call the park and ask. They are sites #4,5, & 21 if my memory is correct.

Believe we were in site 4, Lums Pond in July. Pave it & that site would be long enough to land an aircraft.

Further down the DELMARVA is Killens Pond. Power & water. A bit S of Dover. Maybe too far but it is a nice CG.

As stated North East loop is full hookups, and Chester loop is electric only. Click on campground map and a picture of the site will come up.
Plus the town of North East is nice with antique shops and good restaurants

X-3! We love Elk Neck, North East Loop. Restrooms are always clean. Can't wait until Columbus Day! :)

Elk Neck State Park or Lums Pond. I think Lums Pond would be cheaper but harder to get a site with electric.
Either way--enjoy tax free Delaware!!!!
