Newbie Awning Question

I'm a brand new RV owner. Unfortunately I have no place to park in at my current apartment, so it's in a storage lot for the next month. I just went to check on it, drop stuff off, take measurements, mostly just look it it, haha, etc and noticed something weird about the awning...and it's probably a dumb question...

It's a manual awning. I know that it works, I had the dealer show me before purchase, but I noticed something weird about the knobs. On the right side of the awning, the knob is all the way down towards the bottom of the arm. On the left side, its almost halfway up the arm. why is this? Is this normal?

Thanks!

    depends
does this have the auto release function, when you turn the knob
or do you have to reach up with the pull pole and pull the lever ?

i believe the auto release has the arm you described
or maybe one of the arms was damaged in transit and replace by the dealer

    It has the pull pole.

  • I believe I have the same arrangement and its peculiar but not a problem.
