Ohio State Fair

All those going up or down I75 or somewhat near,
The Ohio State Fair is now on until August7.
We were in Decatur, Ind at the factory a couple years ago looking for something to do. Someone said the Ohio State Fair was a goin.
Said it was just an hours drive east.

Well their clock needed winding real bad. Took a good long trot over there.
It was middlin to good doins.
It's about three hours + from here but might still go on Aug 4.
Use to try to take in several fairs.
Get the time I'm going to good circuit.
The best one use to be in Marshal Michigan, but someone else must be holding their fair somewhere and the big how is there now.

Oh great. I just had my neck worked on and wanted to try the whirly thingie, but not if it going to sling me off and stop on me.
Sorry for those Folks' Familis killed. There is no excuse for being sloppy and not taking care of equipment.
Guess we will alter plans.

Riding rides at any fair is a bad idea, they're put together with the lightest materials possible so they can travel down the road, they're put together by drugged up and/or drunk carneys and high school kids with zero experience, and they receive no more than perfunctory inspections. If you want to ride a carnival ride go to the big parks in a state with a functioning government so that you know it's inspected regularly and maintained by an operator who has something to lose should thing go badly.

Well, if you go today, you won't be able to ride any rides. A ride called Fire Ball came apart killing one and injuring 7. The victim who died was 18 and was thrown 50 feet. He died on impact. All rides are shut down pending inspection of each one.
