A "no" from us, also. You mentioned passing it down to the kids and then grandkids. First, can you imagine what a RV park looks like after 20-30 years? The grandkids wouldn't want it. That is, IF it's still in business. Many of those types of parks have closed down.
There are many ways to RV economically. A time-share is not one of them.
Enjoy that Alaska trip and mosey on over to the Alaska/Canada forum on this site. Lots of good information posted and each year's travelers keep an ongoing post of their travels. There's one going now for 2015 travelers. Also at the very top of that forum is a 'Sticky' of excellent hints, things to do, places to stay, things to take and prepare.
