Well I've never done this before. I just arrived in Albuquerque this morning and after setting up camp at a local RV park I began loading my truck with laundry to be done (I had a lot of other things on my mind, too). I left my campsite so I could complete my chores in the city (laundry, food shopping, etc.) and when I returned hours later I was shocked to see my RV's entry door was wide open. My first thought was a break-in but then I noticed that the door was neatly latched and the screen door was closed. (sigh of relief!)So that's a lesson. Check the RV before leaving and don't be so absentminded! I'm glad to be in a good, safe park inhabited by mostly older folks who aren't likely to enter another's RV without an invitation. ;)I'm sure some of you may have had a similar experience. If so, share it with us.....

Been there, done that! Have also done it with the garage door at home. Not worried so much about human break-ins but critter break-ins!

I think, fortunately, in the majority of campgrounds that wouldn't be an issue. Only problem I've ever had was some decorations being taken on a night when some kids (probably) were causing mischief. That said, I would never knowingly leave my door unlocked while not there. I suppose there are some where that might be an issue; hope I don't find them!

OK.. will share.. LOL..Went out last thing at night with furkid, locked up the truck, went inside and locked up door (2 locks) for the night and the next morning keys were on the picnic table. Guess I laid them down to take off collar and leash on cocker,went in and that was it for the night! Surprise!!!!Just the other day, now have a Class C, locked up entry door, both locks.Came back, forgot to lock the cab doors. Hmmmm.

Yes, I read ya'. I'm located in the extreme western part of the city (on top of nine mile hill). There are a few bad elements in the neighborhood at the bottom of the hill but my neighbors here are a different breed. What a difference less than a mile makes...;)

Since you're in New Mexico I was wondering if you could help me? Seven years ago I drove through Albq. and then off the highway and through a cute little town (seems like in the hills). I am going to Santa Fe in Sept. and would love to stop and explore the town. Any clue as to the town?

I'm sorry, Marsha but I'm mostly familiar with Albuquerque itself and not with any small towns nearby. Maybe you can start another thread where you can hopefully receive an answer.

BTW, I love Santa Fe but haven't stayed there in years since the RV parks are priced higher than I'm willing to spend. It would be cooler than Albuquerque, though.

I have my toad parked on the back side of my MH. Yesterday in the hot summer sun in Florida I decided to open all the windows to let it cool off and air out.

The skies opened up and dumped down rain as only they can do in Florida.
Wasn't until this morning did I walk around the MH and saw all the windows opened on my toad. :(

We could use that torrential rain storm. I've never seen it this dry before in Albuquerque. BTW to the OP, welcome to Albuquerque. Have fun while you are here. We drove 15 minutes to the mountains just east of town for two nights of camping just to get away. Came home (to Albuquerque) this morning. DW has to go to work tomorrow.

Well, you were in hte right part of Albq or it owuldn't have mattered if the door was open or not. You would have gotten back and thought you misplaced your rig..............stolen!

Have left the keys to my motorcycle in it on a couple of occasions. Not a good feeling to come out of store twice and see the keys still in the ignition one time, and in the hard saddle bag lock on the other. Lucky me, lots of thieves in the big city..

As for my garage door, in the past I've had to call the neighbors a few times because I was just not quite sure I had closed it. I now have a closer that I can control from the internet and an app on my smart phone. I can open or close it from anywhere now, and check to see it if it closed or open and for how long. I love that thing.

Park it in the sun with the windows open...it will dry out... :)
