Open or closed

When setup on a long term site with FHU does one leave the tanks open & periodically dump ( what we do) or just leave open ?
Its a small trailer with one person living in it while working during the week & not much weekend use as he comes home.

Same here. I have found myself standing in an inch or so of water when showering if I have forgotten to drain the grey tank.

Both closed. I am able to pull a valve open to dump once or twice a week. No dried out residual.

As others have posted above, we leave the grey tank open most of the time, only closing it a couple days before dumping the black tank. This has worked well for us the last several years as we winter in Texas. Seems to be what most of the others in the RV park do. Hope this helps.

I leave the grey and black closed. Dump when needed.
