Y'all know of my trip with all the flats. So this weekend we went again. and I stopped to look, and at every opportunity I twisted the truck around so I could see the tires, had DW get out at stoplights and check. Just to see if all the tire were there, and round.

It wouldn't be so bad IF you could tell when you had a flat. But just riding without knowing is what bothers me.

I don't blame you for your paranoia. I came with perhaps a mile or two of losing a wheel off my tow dolly due to a failed wheel bearing. Thankfully, I'd drank a lot of coffee that morning! An otherwise annoying nature stop saved me. Even though I've since replaced the bearings and races on both sides I still worry and will soon be adding two more monitors to the TMPS system on my RV.

Nothing beats physical inspection while sitting, with heat gun and examination, of tires. So keep that up. The tire pressure monitors with pressure and temperature, give a peace, of mind while rolling and even sitting still, if temp is high, in one tire, compared, to others.
More than once I've seen damaged tires on Fifth Wheel and F350 while stopped for fueling or break.

Are you on a lonely road? Otherwise I just rely on others to honk if there is trouble.

Great opportunity to drive off and leave her standing in the road! LOL!!!!!!!

Don't have a death wish. But IF I did. That's a quick way to die. She's a mean vicious woman. Yeah every one THINKS she is sweet. NOT SO. Don't ever get on her bad side.

A good TPMS can save damage to your rig - or even your life. Well worth the investment. But remember - just because you're paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't really out to get you...

Sounds like me !
The year before last I had two trailer blow outs on tires that appeared to look perfect.
I bought four new ones and last year I was doing the exact same as you.

I will be making one more snow bird trip this fall, and then my worries will be over.
I'll be putting a 37 foot trailer into a permanent lot that we bought, and all I will have to worry about is the truck on our trips.

Sounds like you are the perfect customer for one of the tire monitors.
