Herself and I tend to be happy in most situations and rarely have problems. We've been RVers long enough to know how to avoid a lot of pitfalls that derail a trip.That said, is the moon full this week figuratively speaking? Have noticed a lot of truly grumpy campers this week. Campers are either smiling or grumpy around here. One particular curmudgeon is targeting himself with his constant complaining so the happy campers are taking the occasional opportunity to "poke the goat" verbally and goad him on.People are the best entertainment of all.

:) :) my favorite pastime. When pregnant with first child (and after she was born), I'd spend my time during the day at the local mall. NOT shopping, but meandering thru, exercising and watching people. Totally an amazing experience.

I started to watch people back in the 50's as a kid I would go to the public park in LA and watch.... it was better than TV back then, and could provide hours of entertainment.

Favorite past time...lots to watch and learn about humans.

When my grand father was in his 90s he would drive into town once a week just to park and watch people

The best place and time to watch people is at a busy boat landing on a Saturday. It's a hoot!

Bring a chair, lunch and cold drinks...voila instant free entertainment!

A mall can be good fun or revolting. It is surprising how many people do not have any mirrors in their homes to check before they head out in public.

It can be fun learning what buttons to push and watch people explode around you. Others, you just look at and know their life has been pretty miserable since they are angry all the time. Most seem to want you to feel as miserable as they are. Christmas used to be my favorite time to go to the mall and people watch. Now there are to many idiots out

The racing venues, whether NASCAR or NHRA are perfect places for this past time, many times better than the races themselves. ;)

A classic at south louisana boat launch is the folks that use the motor to push the boat up the trailer. With sufficient Horsepower, I have seen boats pushed over the top into the back of pickups

One of the reasons to get to a CG by mid afternoon is to be in time for the later arrivals. You know, the people who have been on the road since early. They have done hundreds of miles. They are really tired. She can't give directions. He can't pay attention to them. If they are not going into a pull through then the fun really begins.

Can't decide which is best. RV parking, boat retrieving at the ramp, after a bit of alcohol of course, or boat anchoring. All provide great entertainment.

Great memories! Thanks for sharing. I too remember those small town days. 5 cent burgers, ten cent gasoline and for very special occasions a trip to the airport to watch the planes takeoff and land. Good times.

People just went to town like them and walked all over, as did a whole lot more people, than many malls. A dollar bought everybody a hamburger.
I walked to town with Grand Ma or when in school with MOm and Dad, in city. At Grand Ma's I walked to town and sat in front of the Home Store with and Ornage Crush with bits of orange and ice in it and a big ole yellow moon pie. Ten cent for both. If the one or two cars in the county came by watched them, and listened to the old timers telling tales, whittling and trying to get my goat or any youngster that came along. As for watching people tried counting the dozen or so in town.
