Permeable patio under mat

I'm lucky enough to have the only site in the campground that has little to no Gravel. About 2 minutes after setting up last night it poured and my 9x12 patio mat flooded with Muddy water. I'm looking for some adive on something I can put under my patio mat to lift it up a bit. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks, folks. I called to see if they had another site and they offered to bring Gravel, which they did. We got heavy rains this 4th trip, the Gravel helped considerably. I don't have a problem with dirt/mud but this site was the worst I've had.

In a pinch, I did that with LynxLevelers. This was after the campground a saw them and brought in more stone/gravel to try and help me out.

My assumption is that you are there for the holiday weekend and will be pulling out on Monday? Ask the campground to put some gravel in? I guess since you are already set up, they would wait until you move to do that.

I think you are probably stuck with the situation and need to pray for no rain while you are there.

For me, I would probably pull up my mat, wash it off and put it in storage. I'd put a small rug just at the bottom of the steps to collect most of the dirt and grime from being walked into the camper.

Yes, there are some things you can put under the mat, but they are expensive for just a few days or even a few weeks.

You're camping.....don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the great outdoors and if it rains, stomp in the mud.

Have a great Independence Day celebration.

I think I would leave the mat down, to keep from sinking in, and put the small rug on top at the step. The mat will be no harder to clean later.
