Phoenix Area Storage Recomendations

Hello to the group,


I am looking for help finding a place to store a 40’ 5th wheel in the prferrably northern area of Phoenix from November to May. Anyone have a specific site (with name, location, phone number, etc) they can share? I have gotten a few vague suggestions that didn’t really help. The usual storage areas are extremly high (300-500 a month) and I have to believe there is something else out there. We will be retrieving the RV for trips during the storage time.Thank you.

We've used 2 that have covered parking with power for 150-185 range. Coyote Pass RV Storage at El Mirage rd and Olive (in Surprise I think) and Advantage Storage Advantage Storage just North of Bell rd and Grand Ave.

Do to the problems of finding covered storage when needed, we now rent the space year round. This is why you can drive by a storage place and see open spots, but they're not available. Un-covered space is more readily available, but there's not a lot of of it.

Before we found a covered space and decided to keep it year-around, we'd start making phone calls right after lunch each day. We had a clip board with well over 20 places on it to call each day. The reason we started calling right after lunch is most of the people who were taking their RV out of storage flew in during the morning and then took their RV our of storage around or before noon. If we waited until later in the day, the spaces were taken before we got to them. None of the storage spaces maintained a call back list because they had too many people waiting for spaces.

We put our MH in storage on Sunday and flew home that night. As we drove around the area for the previous thirty days we drove by a lot of storage areas. We even found a few new ones to add to our list. I'm not saying there weren't any spaces available in them, but they all looked rather full.

1. Look further out and then use Super Shuttle to get to the airport if you're flying out.
2. Get a good detailed map that shows all of the little towns by name on the map and then do a Google search for RV storage using each towns name.
3. Don't pass over calling the U-Haul storage places by thinking they just provide cube storage.
4. Make a list and call each place each day until you find a spot.
