Battery explosions are a major issue with all sorts of LiOn type batteries.. Mostly though you can just look for the MADE IN CHINA and.. Worry.

WELL!!!!! NO **** the battery will catch fire if an arrow is shot thru it, or nails drove thru them. THIS IS NOT everyday usage.

And for all you Golf cart owners. The other day at the plant. A cart was plugged in, and the batteries exploded. It was not a pretty sight. Luckily no one was sitting on it.

Reason? Batteries were dry. Had not been checked, and filled. Remember to always fill your batteries, and charge your cart outside

Many stories over the holidays of batteries in electric hover boards catching fire or exploding, lithium batteries. Also, a teenage boy was seriously hurt last week when the battery in a e-cig blew up in his face after the battery got hot.

When shipping products with lithium batteries the outdide of the package must be marked as to such. Once a lithium battery catches on fire they are very hard to extinguish.

I always unplug my chargers especially anything that is charging lithium batteries.

Car batteries explode too. About 20 years ago I had one explode when I went to start the vehicle.

I was just reading this post about batteries exploding and thought I might have left my cordless drill battery charging on the garage. Yep, went and pulled it out of the charger and it was hot!! Will make it a point of not leaving them charging overnight or when I'm not going to be around to pull it after a short time of charging.

I had a battery charger from my screw gun with a battery charging in it on my kitchen table. We were all downstairs and heard an huge explosion.

The battery exploded AND had enough power from the explosion to skyrocket pieces of it left and right AND all the way up to a cathedral ceiling!

Had anyone been near that explosion it would have been pretty serious.

Just think of the billions of batteries in the land fills.
