Portable Toilet/Tent??

Any suggestions on a portable toilet and a privacy tent to keep it in? This would only be used for 3 distinct purposes.

1) St. Patty's Day Parade. You are allowed to line your cars up on the grass on the side of road a few hours before the parade. The downside is that there are no bathrooms and you can't leave until the parade is over because there is no way to get your car out.

2) Tailgating at a football game or concert.

3) 4 Wheeling on the beach. It's a HUGE pain to have to drive a mile or two on the beach just to use the bathroom.

Any suggestions? As a guy I could simply throw a 5 gallon bucket in a privacy tent and be done with it but I'm hoping there's something a little better for the girls and kids.....

Could you use a EZ-up with sides & a porta-potty. For the tailgating & beach it would not seem out of place, ie lot of them around. Setup room might be an issue @ the parade

If you are going to be there for a bit, why not rent a "turdis", or a plastic bathroom that is plopped down by a sewage company, then picked up after the event? You can padlock the door so it isn't a public restroom. Cost is probably $75-$100. In fact, I've rented one for about four months for about $400, with weekly pump-out services.

Of course, if you want something you can use at multiple events, I'd probably look at the Cabela's solution as mentioned above.

The problem with that is that, when people see it, they assume it's a public washroom and you get to turn people away every few seconds, especially during a parade like a St. Paddy's Day Parade. At events like that, you want something more inconspicuous.

This is what we used while camping in the pop-up. This "tent" had a shower on one side and we kept the cassette toliet on the other.

When the kids were little and we had the pop up I bought a porta potty tent. It was about 7' tall and 3'x3'. Easy to set up, and just place the porta potty inside. I loved to watch the daughters go inside, I would wait a few minutes and then chunk pebbles at the tent. It really disrupted their concentration!

Well, there is this but, you would need some sort of tent to put around it.

Google "Lugable Loo" - it's basically a 5 gallon pail with a seat and cover. Line with trash bag, put kitty litter in it - and you've got a "potty". Any old pop-up tent will provide privacy, although the Cabela's portable shower enclosure is nice and tall.

clicky

I would look for something like the tent shown in the link above and simply add a portable cassette toilet. Would make a great little outhouse.

There is a thing called a PET toilet which consists of a seat that holds a plastic bag full of a highly absorbent material. It can be used a number of times and then disposed of in a trash container. Sorry I don't have info on where to get them but you could do a Google search.
