Power tongue jack

I want to be sure the power tongue jack I’m having installed is adequate. The hitch weight is 525#. The jack is the “Husky 3000”.. Is that the only 2 weights to consider?
  • Mines at about 900# and the 3000# jack has no problem breaking it loose even when it sticks on my truck.
  • If the dry hitch weight is 525 lbs., the loaded hitch wt may be a few hundred more. I agree, the 3,000 should still be plenty for your trailer.

  • That will work just fine...remember, you don't have to lift the rear wheels of your truck completely off the ground...just take the tension off the spring bars.
