Depends on the "crime" if insurance will cover or not. If you are committing felony, while your refrigerator is running on propane, then no insurance probably won't cover damages.
However if running your fridge on propane is a violation, like speeding,or failure to obey a traffic control device, then yes insurance will most definitely cover damages.
If they can prove your fridge was the cause of a mishap they more than likely will cancel you after the payout.
However before they deny anything they have to prove that a crime was in fact committed.
It is nice to know that in some minds running my fridge on the road has conferred outlaw status on me!
