I'm glad to be tall. on my little TT the awning roll is only 9 ft off the ground and I'm 6 ft 6 ... I intentionally let the strap roll up in the awning, so it doesn't rub on the paint and leave black marks. I flip the unwinder lever and grab the awing roll where the strap should be, give it a twist the way it wants to unroll and out pops the strap.
