Question on a Hengs stove hood light

We have a brand new 2018 travel trailer with a Hengs stove hood, and the light is so dim that it is useless. All it is good for is a night light.
I took the tiny bulb out and there are six LEDs (total 12) on each side which leads me to believe that either some of them are not working or something is wrong with the bulb circuitry.

Has anyone else with this same hood had the same problem, or is this normal ?

The light that came in our hood were pretty dim. Can't remember what was in there but the plastic lens does cut the light down even more. I installed a couple of new LED light arrays with adhesive tape back I had laying around and they're much brighter and can see a lot better. I also positioned them better so more light gets towards the rear wall. We never use the cooktop and have a wood cutting board on it and it's so nice to see what you're working on. LED lights are so inexpensive these days on ebay or elsewhere.

Have the Hengs vent in our 2016, but back then, it did not have an led bulb. Have since installed one, pretty good light, but not like an overhead. Is it a "wedge" base bulb, type that pushes straight in to a plastic slotted socket?? If so, your overhead or under-cabinet lights may or will be the same base, and you could double check the vent bulb in one of the other lights to see if all leds are operating.

If same hood still, but with led, the plastic lens not very clear, frosted some, and may be the problem. You could also find out the specs on the bulb and find another brighter one to replace it.
