They are designed to handle speeds up to 200 mph, which the tires are rated for also. Some years back, as many different brands were nearing 200 mph capability, the Fed Gov stepped in, not allowing new models to be sold, that were capable of more than 186 mph. Mine is geared to only go 175 mph, but I have never pushed past 160 mph, and did not involve other traffic. Injuries, accidents, and high cost of insurance, have made these models less popular than they once were.
