The sad truth is that sales people and politicians do not hold exclusive contracts on dishonesty. The fact is, many people (NOT all) can, and will, lie, cheat or steal at almost any opportunity. In my lifetime, my worst experiences have been with dishonest repair services. In the end, it cost them any of my future business. If they lied once, they'll surely lie twice.
Not sure why many people stretch the truth or deceive when selling items. The truth usually comes out in the end anyway, so where's the gain?
