Recessed lights

I have 6 recessed lights in the cabinets of my rv and I am in the process of changing every thing to LED. I assume that these are halogen . They have 2 thin pins on them and I wonder if there are LED's available that I could get to swap them out also....
  • When someone finds the right answer for a G4 base LED bulb that's not but a hair bigger than the original incandescent please post the details!

I just gave away my 3d order for bulbs I thought would fit but once inserted I can't put the cover back on the fixture. Not worth the time and trouble to return.
  • I had 2 pin halogen recessed lights. When I attempted to replace with LED's, I found them to have an oddball spacing and couldn't find any to fit. Before buying bulbs, carefully measure the pin spacing. I replaced the entire fixtures.
  • Yes my trailer has the 2 pin style as well and I switched all of mine to led. I ordered them through amazon and have had them in the trailer for almost a year now with zero problems. My trailer has 18 can lights so changing them to led was a must for me. I mainly boondock so it helped me tremendous
  • I was at my RV dealership recently (getting propane fill-up) and inside the parts area they had a display someone built. They showed all the standard type light bulbs used in most RV's, from driving-running lights like the 1157 to the two pronged ones use in most standard RV light fixtures, and a bunch of others I had no clue what they were.

Under them they had labeled their LED replacement. I thought that was a pretty cool display someone put together. It took a lot of thought and some pretty good knowledge of what bulb would replace which. I wish I would have taken a photo of it. Next time I go, I will.

Anyway, point to be made... yes ... you can get a replacement. But not sure which one will work for you. Maybe you can visit your RV dealership parts store. If anyone should know, it would be them.
  • You might try https://www.cabinbright.com/. I’ve had good luck on a few bulbs nobody else seemed to have and he offers great service.

Probably, but you need to know the model # of the bulbs you currently have. Post a pic and maybe someone can suggest what you have.
