Recommend resturants in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Chattanooga

Mama's Farmhouse in Pigeon Forge serves good, home-style food in a family environment. We were anxious to try Paula Deen's new restaurant but were not overly impressed. The food was okay, but they crammed eight of us in a booth like we were eating a blue-plate special in a diner. For that kind of money, we darn sure earned a chair at a table.

When I want to check for a Restaurant I go here. I check for the most recent review and then the lowest.

We stay at Up the Creek when we go to the National Quartet Convention in September. We always stop at Mels Diner, on Wears valley drive
after the concert. Kind of a 50's style diner and the food is good, service great and prices are good too.

Alamo, Old Mill, Apple Barn

Harpoon Harry's and Old Mill Restaurant are two of our favorites in Pigeon Forge.

I have to mention Holston's kitchen in Sevierville on 411 and the Bush Bean Café. Bush's has a plant here and has a café and museum that's worth going to. Its further out on 411 heading east toward Newport. Lots of good places around here......plus we have moonshine too. Go visit Ol' Smoky Distillery in G'burg.

Ruth Chrisp Steak House in Chattanooga, just off I75 turn toward Hamilton Place Mall, off Shallowford Rd. Wath light turn left at the light instead of going into the Mall. Up Gun barrel is standard assortment of fast food and sit down chain restaurants and inside the outside loop of mall.
Then there's the Chattanoga Golf and Country Club. They use to seat other than Members. Call firs and get directions, I would confuse you.
There use to be the Mount Vernon Restaurant, at the foot of lookout Mtn on Broad Street. It was great, but haven't been there in a long time. Call first.
There are seeral others but they are scattered and not a three star or better.
As you get off the Shallowford Rd exit, turn right go one block turn right and Shoneys and O Charlies and Cracker Barrel.
Turn right on the Shallowford, but instead of turning right, turn left and Texas Road House and a Mexican restaurant and a couple of others.

We have only been to the Smokies twice. First time we stayed at Pine Mountain. Nice place.
Look at Up the Creek RV Camp . We liked it better, a little farther off the main drag so seemed a little quieter. Have fun.
