I used to tow with a 1200 lb Dual Cam with a trailer that had a hitch weight similar to yours. I found that this setup was too much for Reese's standard snap up brackets, if you hit the right bump or dip in the road the brackets would bend from the overload. That was several years ago and now Reese offers a heavy duty bracket that has a welded reinforcement plate welded on both sides, you may get this set up to work if you purchase the heavy duty brackets.
