Reese Sidewinder - what do you think?

Please view this short video and see what you think as an alternative to a slider hitch, coupled with the Andersen should the need arise.
First start with the andersen and check clearance, if needed then add the sidewinder.

Do any of you have experience with this extended pin box? They are on Rockwood 5th wheels and Everlight....there may be others.

Input on this would be great!

If you want to know about " trailer warranties and trailer issues "
lookup" Lippert trailer frame breaks ,Issues " that will give you enough reading to make you sit up all night---:E:E-- if your trailer did not come standard with a sidewinder

I like the sidewinder. I am new to 5th wheels, so am learning by reading so far. I did get an answer back from Keystone as far as the sidewinder affecting warranty. There answer is the sidewinder is an alteration, so it would void the frame warranty. Is this a concern for anyone regarding the frame? How long is a typical frame warranty? I don't think I am to concerned, because the Rockwoods all have the Sidewinder/revolution....any thoughts?

I wonder if you use safety chains and do you have the rail version of the hitch?

Had a slider and it was a pain, bought a Sidewiner about 7 years ago and happy I did. I don't regret it

Can you tell me the approximate of clearance from the rear of the hitch to the tailgate...on the video it appears that it is very close to contacting the tailgate inside when driving?

What hitch did you couple up with the sidewinder please....model and brand?

Do you use the rail version or the gooseneck version?

I was curious why the andersen would not work with the sidewinder? Thanks
