We have a sidewinder on our 5er.Pull with 5.6' bed.Wouldn't be without it.We have no issues with the hitch being close to hitting anything.I can turn past 90 degrees with out worry of hitting cab.Get it you wont be sorry. We have a Reese 16k hitch.Make sure you get the right plate for your manufacture of hitch. It will make all the difference in hitching up.
I like the sidewinder. I am new to 5th wheels, so am learning by reading so far. I did get an answer back from Keystone as far as the sidewinder affecting warranty. There answer is the sidewinder is an alteration, so it would void the frame warranty. Is this a concern for anyone regarding the frame? How long is a typical frame warranty? I don't think I am to concerned, because the Rockwoods all have the Sidewinder/revolution....any thoughts?
