Removing family motor coach association plaque

This may seem like an odd question, but several years ago we purchased a pre-owned Class A. It has a RMCA plaque on the front and the back. I really want to take them off but have been afraid to in case it shows really bad. Any tips? To be honest, I'm not even sure how it is attached. Do they stick on?

Thanks!
  • Post some pictures of how it's on your coach and maybe someone can help. Are they attached directly to the surface?

It may be as simple as a hair dryer and a piece of dental floss - HOWEVER - when you remove it you can be sure there will be unequal paint fade. It'll likely leave a 'shadow' on your paint/surface.
  • When we bought our DP I couldn't get the FMCA plaque off either. The DW had gotten a GS plaque that was the same shape and size so I mounted it right over / on top of the FMCA plaque.............

  • If it has been on for several years, there WILL be a difference in the paint. Either leave it on, and ignore, or figure out another to put over the spot.
  • Why not just join FMCA and they will send you new plaques to replace those with your membership number. Great organization with many benefits. They even have a free camofpgroung in Cincinnati for members use when passing through.
  • Now I am noticing 2 small screw holes in it. I may have to climb up on the ladder to check it out but I sure don't want to leave holes if I remove it!!! We are thinking of getting some kind of graphic design for the back so hoping that will cover up any discoloration.
