I am not sure how to cut a figure 8 inside the bushing... I did file a relief or chamfer around the grease exit to help the flow.
Use a Dremel with a ball burr. It doesn't need to be fancy and don't make it very deep as the bushings are thin. Also, don't run the groove completely to the end or the grease will take the easy path right out.
