Roof is better than new

Just had my roof sealed by RV Roof Solutions and absolutely the last roof I'll ever need. If any of you need a roof resealed get hold of Scott and he'll explain his process He's very knowledgeable and does an outstanding professional job. Best part about it is he comes to you.
  • Good point pnichols...below is from FAQ from the website for place in FL.

What happens if I ever have to replace a part on my roof?

When we do your roof, we replace almost all the plastic components of your roof. The only exception at this point is skylights, we will replace them for our cost for a customer. All your lids can be replaced by removing them from the base. If you somehow damage a base or frame, a cutting wheel or grinder can be used to get to the screws and free the base from the coating. You would then reinstall the part and caulk around the joints. As soon as possible, bring back your RV and we will prep and respray that damaged area. The chemical bonds back to itself so you will not even be able to see where the repair was done.
  • Unfortunately UV rays and heat from the sun slowly destroy other plastic items on an RV's roof like vent covers, bathroom shower skylights, refrigerator vent covers, antenna mount sealants and cabling, sewer stacks, air conditioner mount sealants, etc..

How do you repair and replace the above types of items and/or their seals if they're held in place around their edges with this super roof sealing acrylic based material? It sounds very difficult to do, while afterwards still maintaining the integrity of the original acrylic coating job.

.............Would you mind telling us approximately how much it cost to have your roof coated , and how long it was ? , jf
  • markandkim, it's a rubber roof on a 24' outback trailer, 2005 rubber roof which the PO never maintained.
Scott repaired the left side edge of the roof where it comes over the side with new material about 4" and the length of the trailer and you can't even see it. Apparently he uses an acrylic that he formulated and lab tested. As I said he's very knowledgable has work on Rvs and Trailers for a long time and by talking to him sounds like he's been in just about every state. Contact him he'll answer all your questions and send a sample. I'm not affiliated with him in any way just very satisfied in his work and a cheaper solution to a new roof.
  • That's the place 2012Coleman...I've bookmarked it now :) Thanks!

Googled RV Roof Solutions and looks like interesting idea...will he come all the way to Georgia? :)

Actually, I believe there is a company in FL that does something similar...not sure if material used is same.
You are correct - it is called RV FlexArmor Green Cove Springs, FL I'm not affiliated with them - just saw it on here and bookmarked it. Would use them if it became necessary.
