Slowly, very slowly, the price of gasoline is retreating. Down to $2.51 at Sam's Club.

Gas prices in central Minnesota were $2.42 a gallon. Up here they dropped from $2.67 to $2.65 to $2.61 over the past few days. If the Cap and Trade bill gets through the Senate (now that the House passed it at O' Dark Thirty Saturday morning), the price of fuel, IMHO, will go up like a skyrocket. I wanna cry for the good ol' USA.

This trouble in Iran could also cause an increase in oil prices. 40% of the world's shipped oil goes right past them.

US wholesale gasoline prices drop 11 cents on the futures market June 19, 2009 for delivery on July 9, they are now about $1.93US a gallon. They should keep dropping unless the shipments get disrupted by some action that would effect supply. We should be back to around $2.50US a gallon for summer. Those 8 MPG RV's now cost about 34 cents a mile to drive and it should drop to just over 31 cents per mile for gasoline. Diesel owners are the big winners this summer, as diesel remains less tha gasoline, and they get about 30% better MPG. Diesels now cost about 21 cents a mile to drive, that's about 33% less than it cost to run a gasoline RV. We are just about a year away from all the feul pumps for on the road diesels to have only ULSD. Trains can still use the LSD until 2025. Off road diesel will also be just ULSD but will still be a different colr than on road diesel, as it is illegal to run on road vehicles with off road diesel. That's because off road diesel is not subject to all the taxes that on road diesel is.

Yup. Been watching the fluctuation the last couple of days, RBOB and wondering if the slight down turn will fizzle out. Not holding my breath but keeping fingers crossed.

Oil has hit the $70.00 mark and RBOB is at the $2.00 mark. Guess we'll have lots more complaining in July when the pump prices will reflect these current Futures prices.

I think I'll stock up on cheese.

Big oil is a myth. Exxon is the largest oil company in the US ad is number 14 in the world. We control about 5 % if the worldโ€™s resources. It would be multiply times more, but our liberal congress has seen fix to put almost all of our fossil fuels off limits. This includes our shale oil in 3 western states that has more oil than mankind has used to date. The problem is not our oil companies, but out congress who has emasculated our companies getting our god given natural resources. Their ability to drill for oil, gas, and coal has forced us to purchase over $700 billion from countries who hate us. Lets not even think about having these companies be taken over by the government who as a habit of fouling up just about everything. When you start paying that $4 per gallon soon, realize that we have the resources to have it half the price, but congress will not allow us to exploit it.

They don't even have to print it anymore. All they do is select a menu item on the computer and suddenly more money is created in the computerized financial system. Actual printed money is only about $900billion, and only about half of that can be accounted for. The rest is in the covert 'black' money market.

Expect fuel, food, and many other items to substantially increase in price in the coming months due to the reckless spending of the Federal Government. The dollar is slowly devaluing thus the foreign producers want more for their product.

Yeah, we've been running deficits for 8 years and the dollar fell 40% during the previous administration. You just noticed?
