RV Towing Jeep, brake controller wiring question

Hello All,

I purchased full Tow vehicle Roadmaster braking system , I have everything figured out but there is this brakeway switch connected to brake controller box and there are four wires come out of the box, two of them are already wired properly to switch but there are two suppose to hookup to battery terminals. I want to make sure I connect positive and negative properly. There is red and white wire coming out, Red I hope is positive and white is negative. I also heard that it doesnot matter what wire you connect to positive or negative.

Can some confirm please, I am posting the pictures.

If that is the correct unit, wiring is shown in figure 3. Red hot, white ground
