Sand Mat For Bottom Of Stairs?

I think the normal RV awning mat works well in sand…

True, would be kinda rough on the feet.

Used to have a 3-M Nomad mat, but it got away from me. Worked great. Now we use a door mat with plastic grass to knock off the majority before we go inside then we have a heavy industrial carpet mat inside the door. We then take our shoes off and put them in a boot tray inside the door. Between the three we and the dogs keep most of the dirt and sand out. but I sure miss that Nomad mat.

The Clean Machine mat really works great. We also keep a soft bristled brush outside our door, to brush off our bare feet before we go inside.

We use a camping world mat that has lots of plastic stick up thingies (kind of like fake grass but plastic) AND a dishpan full of water and a hose sprayer to squirt off feet.

As I started to read your post somehow I was expecting you to tell us how you used the dead cat as a sand mat. Whew!

Don't know where it was found but we have a bristle & wire shoe/boot cleaning thinghy. I think it was designed more for snow but it works for sand & mud.

We have two of these type mats at the bottom of our steps and they work great. In addition we have two 9x12 patio vinyl mats along the side of the MH that also keeps the sand away from the steps.

I also keep a small brush near the steps to brush off excessive sand, etc.
