Senior Single RVing

So is anyone else out there RVing, a single senior? I am in the process of divesting myself of my home. I own a small class c and plan to live in it full time for a couple of years. Today is my 73rd birthday. Am I crazy or what? How about you? Are there any other crazy old ladies who have decided to live on the edge? I have 2 small dogs and will be towing a Tribute. I have spent winters on the west coast in the past years but have always come home to the stick house. I know that this is a stage of life for me but what the heck. I don't have a great deal of time left so why not! Tell me what you are doing? Have you had any negative experience if you have done or are doing this. Sure would like some stories to leave with. I am "MOVED IN". I am no longer tied down with "stuff". I will have a "give away" for the kids and grand kids this coming month and then will leave for the winter if all goes well. I plan to spend the summers in my kids back yards and am starting there now. A month with each should wear us out for a year.

Seems like you have a plan and have all the bases covered! Good Luck you will love it and you will meet MANY single RV'ers out there on the road.

Five years ago we were camped across from a woman who was traveling along in her TT. She was almost 80 and had been doing it since her husband died when she was 72. She had learned how to do many of the repairs herself as well as set up alone. She had moved from whatever they had gone in to a twenty foot TT as she thought it would be easier handling something small.
Another friend is about 80 also but tries to camp where she can contact nearby relatives in case of an emergency.

Go for it! I've been senior single RVing for about 25 years (fulltime) and have no regrets. It's hard for me to conceive even living in a regular home without wheels :B. Unlike you, I have no pets. I got rid of all my stuff from when I had a home years ago and don't miss any of it. Simple is good...:)

We've seen many singles in the last 8 yrs, men and women.

Was really impressed by one older woman who pulled a Okanagan 5th wheel. We met her at a couple of RV Shows in VA. She had become a unofficial Rep because she loved her 5er so much.
