I have no problem with the term. It's like differentiating between those who enjoy sleeping in tents (camping) with those of us who much prefer anything from a pop up to a nice Class A (RVing). Glamping, as far as I can tell, describes those who enjoy an upscale Class A, going to RV Resorts with outdoor kitchens at the site where nothing less than an upscale Class A at least 35' is allowed. That's not us, for sure, and I'm glad they now have a descriptive term just for them!!
