Six volt batteries ?

Next door camper was complaining about the performance of his two six volts . He had heard how much better they were so he bought two at Tractor Supply . He bought two six volts that were meant for an older Ford tractor , little tiny things ,We need to say ," six volt golf car , deep cycle batteries , maybe !

Well there are STARTING batteries even in the 6 volt world

As I recall the old Ford's (And Fergusons) took one that was darn clsoe to a GC-2.. but .. it's been a long......long.. time Since I drove one (Both Ford 20 and Ferguson TO-30).
Home was where I park it. but alas the.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

Probably, they only had to start a 30 or 40 hp motor. Don't know for sure what the hp rating for the old tractors were but not much.

If yes, they weren't suitable in the first place and likely sat on the shelf for a couple years as those systems are getting very rare.
