We have a 2010 Dutchmen28B-GS travel trailer. Bought it used seven years ago. We love it.
We bought a LCI Solera slide topper a couple of years ago, its still sitting in my basement.
We have aluminum siding on our RV. Normally the brackets would be put in the upper corners inside the flange. No issue for fiberglass siding. The problem with our set up is the corners happen to be on the out-going bulge of the siding, thereby crushing the siding when screwing in the bracket. If I lower i to the 'valley' below that I'm not sure if the bracket arms will reach.
Any thoughts or alternative install methods you can think of?
Should I just screw in the bracket and fill in the gaps/cracks with Dicor. I've even thought about cutting that section with a Dremel tool so just that small corner piece would be affected.
Thanks for any suggestions. I've included a link to a photo of the corner.
