Sold the TT, no RVing for a while

Last month wife's medical condition progressed to the point where she needs a wheelchair to get around (MS). Sold my TT since it would take to much work and money to make it accessible, and we didn't use it that much anyway. Also oldest son will be driving soon and having to plan for college in a couple of years. Felt bad seeing the TT leave the drive way, but maybe after we are empty nesters we might look into a toy hauler for accessible travels. Be safe in your travels.
  • if the time comes that she needs a mobility scooter I can recommend a Travel-Scoot. I fold mine up to slide in the back door of my Roadtrek and it only weighs 35# to lift into my Equinox back end. The battery is good for 12-15 miles on a charge. I have had mine 3 years and could not do much without it.
  • my wife has MS also and just got over with a fight with ovarian cancer. we did not get out at all last year. she is cancer free and we are going to make up for lost time. they do make lifts for TT and wheelchairs
  • Very sorry to hear that. Hope you'll be back with us soon!
  • Sorry to hear of your difficulties, If it is any solace we saw a couple in a similar position a couple years ago at a COE park in Virginia. They had a keystone outback unit that had a ramp on the side that made her able to still access the trailer.
It was a 240urs model if you ever want to look into it.
    Good luck.
  • Sorry about your wife. When the time comes a toy hauler sounds like a great idea.
  • I wish you and your spouse the best. All your favorite CGs will be waiting for your return.
