Parking the Harleys out where others can see them helps a little but there aren't a lot of choices anymore around here if you just show up anyway.
Places we like to camp at in several different campgrounds for canoing and kayaking we use to be able to just go and pick out a nice campsite on the water when we got there. Then they started to take reservations which was OK as there were usually some of the shoreline sites available. Now unless you book your spot first thing in the spring forget it. You might find one or two that have not been reserved for a day here and there but nothing available near the water for two days or more, even in the middle of the week.
